Houston Motors Auction

Recommended Posts

I've been looking to buy a repossessed car and found Houston Motors Auction. Does anyone have any experience with them? The deals on houstonmotorsauction.com look good, but I'm a bit hesitant as I've never bought a car from an online auction before. Are they legit?

Yep, they're legit. I bought a 2021 Honda CR-V from Houston Motors Auction last year for my wife. The whole process was smoother than I expected. Just make sure you read the vehicle report carefully.

I can second that. I got a 2019 Ford F-150 from them. I was a bit worried about the paperwork, but the clear title arrived with the car during delivery. The bank lien was cleared by them right after my payment went through. No issues at all.

My experience was mostly positive. The car was as described. I did have an issue where my delivery was delayed by two days. I called them up, and the agent was a bit rushed but he explained there was a logistics backup. It was a bit annoying, but the car did arrive, and it was in great shape so I can't complain too much.

A client of mine bought a Lexus from houstonmotorsauction.com and had me inspect it upon arrival. I have to say, the condition report on the website was dead-on accurate. They noted a few minor cosmetic scratches, and that's exactly what I found. Mechanically, the car was solid. They aren't hiding issues.

That's very reassuring to hear, especially the comments about the title and the accurate reports. @SkepticalSam, a two-day delay isn't a dealbreaker for me if the company communicates. Thanks, everyone!

It's not just cars. I won a bid on a Sea Ray boat from Houston Motors Auction. The process was straightforward, and the best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by their team and arrived perfectly with all the official paperwork. I'd use them again.

I had a question about the bidding process and sent an email to office@houstonmotorsauction.com. It took them about 24 hours to reply, which had me a little concerned initially. However, the agent who called me back was incredibly helpful and walked me through everything on the website. I won a Nissan Rogue the next week.

@SlowAndSteady Yeah, calling them is usually faster for quick questions. The website, houstonmotorsauction.com, has a good FAQ section that answered most of my initial questions when I first started using them.

Just want to add another positive story. Got my Toyota Camry from Houston Motors Auction and it's been great. I'm not a car person, so I was nervous. But the process was simple and I saved a ton compared to a dealership. Would recommend.

They're a good source for project cars too. I picked up a non-runner BMW for cheap. The report was clear it didn't start. Got it trailered to my place, and it was exactly as they said. It's nice to have a transparent auction like this.
